Ok, i like this kinda punk guy ( he has really nice hair) and i want to ask him out, but all my friends say that i have to get to know him first. is that true? i mean he knows who i am. sometimes i tell him i like his outfits and stuff like that, but not very often. i am kinda shy.

If u like the guy ask.i found out yrs later that their where a lot of girl in school that liked me and never ask me.one was my best friend misty.i never thought i had a chance.just make sure it's a public place or with a few friends. like the moves or a get to gether with out aclo.the worest he can say is no.i lost out on a lot cuase i was to afaird to ask.

Is he shy too? It sounds like you have a crush: you are attracted to him by what you have seen so far, but you don't really know him very well. I recommend you try to get to know him better by talking to him more often. After you guys have spent more time talking and you have a better understanding of each other, then it would be more meaningful to ask him out. On the other hand, if you have no opportunities to talk to him regularly because your paths almost never cross during the week, then maybe it is worth asking him out for lunch or coffee to get to know him better. Or better yet, invite him to join you with a group of friends (guys and girls) doing a group activity or attending an event...such as a going to watch a movie together, going to a concert or sports game, a picnic, a birthday celebration, or something of that nature. Then you can watch how he acts toward a variety of people and you can more comfortably approach him without feeling so much pressure.
