Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

I am 13 and have wanted to get my nose pierced for three years. I dont want anything big (just a small Citrine stud). I want to know the pros and cons of getting it pierced. Also how much it costs and how much it hurts compared to ear piercings. For all you people who are going to tell me that I am too young, that its just a wim and I'm probably a "punk"....I AM NOT 18 THAT DOESNT MEAN I HAVE NO BRAIN!!! It isn't a wim I've wanted to for three years, and I am not a "punk" I have straight A's all brown hair and nothing but 1 set of ear piercings.*

*if you happen to be a "punk":not trying to descriminate those are just annoying and usless answers.

most guys i know dont think it looks good....

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

You should wait until you are older. I know you have wanted one, but your face is still growing, which is why most places won't pierce you this young even with parents permission.

The biggest con is that it is forever, and it looks weird if you decide you want to take it out (some jobs will require it). My friend took hers out, and the hole does not close up and go away. She had hers out for 2 years and there is still a visible hole in her nose. It is there forever.

EDIT: I have had 3 jobs that don't allow piercings except traditional ears, and those have to be modest. It is never fun to have to take your piercing out. Some places are cool, some are not. This is your face. If you really want one, go for it, but you will have to wait until you are older.

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

babe if you want to get it done. go for it!

nose piercings are really really cute.

i've had mine done 3 times.

- make sure you go to a proper piercer, not the chemist or anything okay!

- it does hurt a bit, but everyone handles pain a bit differently, so you may think it doesnt hurt at all.

- clean it twice a day with warm soapy water and a salt solution, you dont want it to get infected!

- the site i listed should help you.

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

Hmm.

The bad thing is nose piercings get infected very easily.

They hurt a bit more than getting your ears done, and it hurts for a little while after.

They can be very irritating and they can fall out easy. Yet once your used to it you forget its there :)

And they sometimes make the inside of your nostril itch, but if you adjust it enough and are able to get past that irritation...

They're great =)

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

I got my nose pierced when I was 19. Straight A's, brown hair, no other piercings, not punk.... just like you, just a tad older. It was no more than about 30 dollars to get it done (then again, I went to a pricier tattoo shop, you should always shop around though). I loved it! I started out with a hoop since they are easier to move around and clean so it doesn't get infected. Then I got some rhinestone ones that were different colors so I could change them out. The pros are its very feminine, gives you an edge, plus its just cool. The cons are you have to be very clean with it or it will get infected. The first couple weeks it has a tendency to scab a bit and sometimes a little goo will come out (kinda gross, but normal). Plus you don't want to take it out too early (like I did), or it will be a pain to get it out.

Another possible con is many people like to judge people based on appearances. If you think that will bother you, don't do it. But if not (like me) go for it!! You're parents may not approve (mine didn't, but I was old enough so they couldn't do much about it). Does your school have a policy against it?? SOmething you might want to consider so you don't end up getting it pierced and end up having to take it out b/c of school. Other than that, I say go for it!

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

Ear piercings are cute and it does not make you a punk although I do think you are still a little young to have it done. As it stands, your parent would have to sign for you to be able to get the piercing just like with your ears. I am told it hurts a little more than like the ears piercings. The only draw back would be with school policy for now. If you were older and worked in public places, like a bank, you would have to take it out every day. A young lady that works for me has a tiny diamond and she looks just as beautiful today with the piercing as she did before she got it. She is who told me it hurts a little more but hers healed very well.

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

okay...well personally i wouldnt do it because i have strict parents but u shouldnt care if others would or wouldnt

the pros are obviously: its what u want and it is pretty cute

cons are: like u said people will say ur too young and it does kind of hurt..and if u get it done wrong it could get infected and then it hurts more than when they actually peirce it

but of course its up to u to make the decision

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

cons: hurts like hell, takes 6 months to heal, done with a needle not a gun (if you go to a professional), costs about 30 - 40 bucks, will be in the way anytime you sneeze or touch your nose for anything, and will affect any future job seeking.

pro: none, and yes your too young!

I suggest, if you still absolutely want a piercing, get a second EAR piercing with mom's permission, of course.

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

I love mine! I got it done when i was 19. Effect a job oppurtunity, hahaha! Your 13 so don't worry about that. I'm a secretary and they don't care about my nose being pierced. And it doesn't get in the way of sneezing. If people don't have it done, they shouldn't be commenting! Go for it hun!

Pros and Cons of Getting My Nose Pierced?

pros: u like it?,

cons: do ur parents know?, it could get infected,it hurts,

dont know if u actually want to do it?
